Getting To Okotoks

The city of Okotoks is located to the south of Calgary and just to the west of Highway 2.

By Car

- From the Calgary Airport and the North

Exit from the airport terminal and at the first light, turn left onto Barlow Trail heading north. After approximately 100m, turn left (west) onto Airport Trail. After 1km, turn south on Deerfoot Trail. After about 38km, take the Okotoks turning. The old town centre is then approximately 8km further south.

- From The South

Head north on Deerfoot Trail towards Calgary and turn west on Highway 7 at Aldersyde. Proceed on Highway 7 for 15km or so and turn right on Southridge Drive into Okotoks. Okotoks old town is then about 3km ahead.

- From Banff

From Banff, head into Calgary on the Trans Canada Highway. Pass by Canada Olympic Park where the ski jumps are and follow the signs to Highway 2 South or Highway 2A South. Turn south on Macleod Trail (Highway 2A). After about 38km, take the Okotoks turning. The old town centre is then approximately 8km further south.

By Public Transport

There is an infrequent Greyhound bus service that runs from the Calgary Bus Station to Okotoks as well as a weekday's only commuter service operated by Southland.
